About the Business
We specialize in handmade noodles in the Shaanxi Province. It’s a type of noodle that is known as the “eight strange wonders of Shaanxi”. It’s similar to the shape of a belt because of its thickness and length. We also make well known street food dishes like Cold-steamed noodles (LiangPi), Pork/Lamb Sandwich’s(RouJiaMo), Flatbread in Mutton Soup(YangRouPaomo), Steamed Beef and Wheat Powder(FenZhengRou).

How have I not written a review of this place? Actually one of my top favorite restaurants.
Important stuff:
- Biang Biang noodles are bomb
- Cold dishes: Seaweed salad and cucumber, amazing
- Spicy Sour Cabbage: yum
- Spicy Sour Lamb dumpling soup: so good.
- Lamb Sandwich thing: very good but a bit pricey
Basically gave you my regular order I get here above. But everything on the menu here is so delicious. Definitely a hole in the wall. English is limited with the staff here, but just look at pictures and point, you won't regret checking this place out.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 4, 2022
I bought these for my friend so I only get to try a little of the minced pork hamburger.
Although I only tried a piece but it was so flavorful. I was super full the day that I got it but I really wanted to go back and get one for a night snack lol that was how good it was to me.
It was a bit salty tho. I didn't think it was somewhat dry but my friend said it needed more sauce. Also, a bit sour to it. I think that was why I liked it lol
I m going to return to try one whole thing lolHelpful 20Thanks 2Love this 21Oh no 0 - 200442205Jul 25, 2022Updated review
Just reconfirming how much I love this place! Ordered the sour and spicy noodles and the pork dumpling in hot and sour soup! Seriously the best! The noodles are really long, so you can ask them to cut them if your sharing!
Two dishes for 2 people and we are stuffed! $28.00
Insanely fresh and such a great cheap eats! Will always recommend.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Mar 10, 2020Previous reviewOh this is a gem! I secret corner plaza hidden gem. I ordered the sour & spicy handmade noodles, the pork dumpling hot and sour soup and the cumin lamb pita sandwich. To say if I had a favorite would be quite difficult. The handmade noodles were incredible! Thick freshly made noodles with a dry spice, it's not too sour and it honestly was sad to see my bowl empty. The dumpling soup was so flavorful and the dumplings had a very thin skin. It was the perfect item to order on a cold night. And lastly the cumin lamb sandwich, it was a flavor bomb and it had the perfect homemade bread that was crispy and soft and just a wonderful pairing.
The service was great,it's clean and nicely kept. It's a hidden gem to say the least and for sure my go to spot for noodles.
It's a must try! - Jan 31, 2023
We were craving cold noodle so we stopped by this place. We got the Cold Noodle, Shredded Gluten, and Cucumbers. The Cold Noodles and Shredded Gluten were ok but needed a lot more sauce. The Cucumbers were refreshing and paired nicely with the Preserved Egg. We ended up dipping the Cold Noodles and Gluten in the cucumber sauce as it enhanced the flavor.
The surface parking is time limited so we parked underground which had many available spots.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jun 2, 2022
Came here through recommendation from a friend. He saw the simply dumpling guy and came here and tried the biangbiang noodles and thought it was OK.
- Biang Biang Noodles 3/5
This dish was recommended and said was good. You eat it for the noodles. The flat thick noodles were pretty good and chewy. However it lacked a lot of flavor. I wish there was more flavor because it would easily make this dish a 5. Wouldn't get again.
- Mapo Tofu 5/5
Really good! Had a lot of malaa spice and the tofu was fresh and hot when it came out. It had pieces of minced pork (?). It was really good with rice.
- Pork Wontons in spicy sauce 4.3/5
The wontons were juicy and good. However the wrapper was on the thicker side. There was 12 pieces for like $15, which is not bad.
- Lamb soup with pita bread. Add egg. 1.2/5
It was edible. There were pieces of these white squares. I guess that was the pita bread? It also contained tofu pieces and glass noodle. It dried out pretty quickly and just wasn't good. Would NOT get again.
Rice is $3 for a bowl, even if you order an entree.
Parking is free as there's a bigger lot in the back.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Juliann T.Tustin, CA10283243001Jan 29, 2023
It was a little hard to find with the signage. The hot and sour dumpling soup was like nothing I ever had soo good. I didn't care for the cumin lamb noodles. I think it's because I'm not a huge fan of cumin. I keep trying it though, hahah
The cucumber was the showshopper for me. It wasn't like anywhere else. So refreshing so addicting. I wanted to drink it. I've been trying to recreate these at home and it suffices but I want to go back. I wish it were closer.
They seat you and don't check in but it's ok they weren't rude and when the food came it was quick.
Parking was a little difficult but there's a downstairs and parking was easy there.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 6, 2022
I have come here on several occasions, so this review is overdue. Every time I come here, both service and food are excellent. This mom and pop restaurant serves the most authentic Shaanxi food in the SGV area. Must try when in the area.
Chinese Style Pita Bread (5/5): Got both the standard pork and the Qishan Minced Pork. The pita bread was not too thick or too thin & had the perfect crisp to it. They pack the inside with a good portion of meat (not skimpy). With every bite, it was just a juicy mouthful.
Lamb Soup with Soaked Pita Bread (5/5): This dish is a hit. Very good flavor, hearty and fresh. Not gamey at all. Must get
Biang Biang Noodles (5/5): The wide hand-pulled noodles were QQ (chewy). The sauce and other ingredients really brings out all the flavor. It's chewy from the noodles and crunchy from the bean sprouts. The sauce is on par - not too sweet or spicy.
Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet (4.5/5): the fish had a bit of old fish taste to it (or maybe it's just the type of fish they used -- catfish?), but otherwise, it was very good. The sweet and sour sauce is thick as expected. It also comes with onion, bell pepper and pineapple. A good combo.
Xiaanxi Noodle with Special Soup Base (4/5): my friend loved this dish, but for me, it was too spicy. If you like the heat and sour & spicy soup, then this is a great dish. If you're not tolerant of spicy food, then don't order this. It made me teary.
I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 36217303198Apr 2, 2022
Got the biang biang noodle and wonton in red chilli oil to go.
Love the chewiness of the fresh noodles and the generous portions. However, the noodles are a little on the bland side so I'm glad I had the wontons to help add a little bit more flavor.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Angel M.Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, CA18737Oct 23, 2022
Been ordering the braised lamb noodle soup (D5) for four years and it's always been amazing!!!! I love the milky white broth and the delicious wide noodles. I'm a huge fan of wide noodles--the wider the better--and Shaanxi Garden delivers perfectly on that front!
They give you a LOT of noodles. The bowl is huge and they really pack the noodles in there. It's good value but I do wish they would add more vegetables (maybe I should request it next time?) as the little bit of wood ear mushroom that you get were born to go along with the soup. Can't wait to come here again!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Aug 22, 2022
I love biang biang noodles and this place did not disappoint. I prefer it over Noodle Art in Monterey Park. However, the best thing I had here was their lamb dumplings with hot and sour soup! Oh man that thing was amazing.
